Ytterbium Information
Ytterbium is a silvery metallic element of the lanthanoids. There are seven natural stable isotopes of ytterbium and totally ytterbium has 35 isotopes. This element is used in certain steels. Ytterbium was discovered by J.D.G. Marignac in 1878.
Ytterbium is used in metallurgical and chemical experiments.
